TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective date: 17 September 2026
These Terms of Service apply to online courses and other digital products supplied by Leone Ward trading as Dogs Zone (“Dogs Zone”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By purchasing a product, creating an account or accessing course materials, you agree to these terms.
Course purpose
Dogs Zone courses provide general educational information about puppy and dog training, behaviour and care.
The information is not a substitute for individual veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you have concerns about your dog’s health, safety or behaviour, please consult an appropriately qualified veterinarian or other professional.
Training outcomes vary between dogs and owners. We cannot guarantee a particular result.
Account responsibility
You are responsible for:
• Providing accurate account information
• Keeping your login details secure
• Ensuring that your account is used only by you
• Contacting us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
You must not share, sell or transfer your account or course access to another person.
If the purchaser is under 18 years of age, permission from a parent or legal guardian is required.
Payment and access
Prices and access periods are displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.
Access to From Puppy Overwhelm to Calm Connection is provided for 365 days from enrolment, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Payment must be completed before access is provided. Payments are processed through Thinkific and its payment service providers.
Voluntary seven-day refund policy
In addition to any rights you may have under New Zealand law, Dogs Zone offers a voluntary seven-day change-of-mind refund.
To qualify:
• You must email [email protected] within seven calendar days of purchase; and
• You must have completed no more than 20% of the course.
If approved, the refund will be returned using the original payment method. Payment-provider processing times may apply.
The voluntary change-of-mind refund does not apply when a request is made after seven days or when more than 20% of the course has been completed. We may still consider exceptional circumstances individually.
Nothing in this refund policy limits or excludes your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot legally be excluded. If a product is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, please contact us so we can provide an appropriate remedy.
Personal use and intellectual property
All course materials—including text, videos, audio, illustrations, downloads, workbooks, exercises and branding—belong to Dogs Zone or are used with permission.
Your purchase gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the materials for your own learning.
You must not, without written permission:
• Copy, reproduce or republish course materials
• Share course materials or login details with another person
• Record, distribute, sell or commercially exploit any part of the course
• Modify the materials and present them as your own
• Use the materials to create or deliver another course, programme or commercial service
You may download and print materials specifically provided as downloads for your own personal use.
Safe and responsible participation
You remain responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for you and your dog.
Training should take place in a safe environment and be adapted to your dog’s age, health, temperament and circumstances. Children and dogs should be appropriately supervised.
Stop an activity and obtain suitable professional assistance if you are concerned about safety, pain, illness, fear, aggression or another serious behavioural issue.
Platform availability
Courses are delivered through Thinkific and rely on internet access and third-party technology.
We will take reasonable steps to keep course content available during the stated access period, but temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical problems or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Please contact us if a technical problem prevents you from accessing your purchase.
Acceptable use and suspension
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that a user has:
• Shared an account or course materials without permission
• Attempted to copy, resell or misuse course content
• Used the platform unlawfully or abusively
• Interfered with the operation or security of the platform
• Seriously or repeatedly breached these terms
Where reasonably possible, we will contact you before terminating access and give you an opportunity to address the issue.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dogs Zone is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of course information.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy available under New Zealand law that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
Changes to courses or these terms
We may make reasonable improvements or updates to course content.
We may also update these terms to reflect changes to our products, business practices, technology or legal obligations. The version applying to your purchase will be made available through the course site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute will be dealt with under New Zealand law.
