Leone Ward trading as Dogs Zone (“Dogs Zone”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how you can contact us about your information.

When you visit our course site, contact us, create an account or purchase a product, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your account and enrolment details
• Your purchase and transaction information
• Your course progress, quiz responses and completion information
• Messages, feedback or support requests you send us
• Marketing preferences
• Technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and activity on the course platform

Thinkific and its payment providers process payment information. Dogs Zone does not normally receive or store your complete credit or debit card number.

• Directly from you when you register, purchase, complete a form or contact us
• Automatically through Thinkific, cookies and similar technology
• From payment providers when they confirm a transaction, refund or payment issue
• When you participate in a course, quiz, survey or feedback request

• Track course progress and completion
• Respond to questions and provide customer support
• Send essential account, purchase or course communications

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You will still receive essential messages relating to your account or purchases.

• Thinkific, which hosts and delivers the course
• Payment processors and banking providers
• Email, website, analytics and technical service providers
• Professional advisers or authorities where required by law

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Some service providers may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and ensure information is handled appropriately.

The course site may use cookies and similar technology to keep you signed in, remember preferences, provide course functions, maintain security and understand how the site is used.

Your browser may allow you to restrict cookies. Disabling some cookies may prevent parts of the course platform from working correctly.

  1. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Information may be stored within Thinkific and other trusted service-provider systems. No online service can guarantee complete security, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to our business.

  1. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide course access and support
• Maintain transaction, tax and business records
• Resolve complaints, refunds, chargebacks or disputes
• Meet legal and regulatory obligations

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted or anonymised where practicable.

  1. Accessing or correcting your information

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you or request that it be corrected.

You may also ask us to delete information where it is no longer required, although some information may need to be retained for legal, transaction or legitimate business purposes.

Our products are intended to be purchased and managed by adults. A person under 18 should use the course only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate adult involvement.
